Custom woodcarving

Woodcarving is a relatively new undertaking for me. I use mostly basswood rounds, live edge planks and Pfeil carving tools. Contact me with your idea and let's see if we can bring it to life.

Stipple art

Do you know the difference between stipple art and pointillism? Stipple art uses dots to create an image. Pointillism works in the same way, with one key difference - color. A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of Grande Jatte is an example of pointillism. The drawing on the right, Who's Eating Who?, is an example of stipple.

I mostly focus on stipple, but am not averse to pointillism. Have an idea? I'd love to hear about it.

Pyrography

I draw with fire. Well...electricity, fire's bougie first cousin. All pyrography - also called wood burning - artwork is done by hand with my Truart single pen burner. Pets, landscapes, people, Lovecraftian horror...let's chat about your idea.

Even treated to slow damage, pyrography has a tendency to fade, particularly when exposed to UV light. Slow the process by placing art away from bright light.
